Online coaching

Online running coaching: the follow-up of a coaching service, without the monthly fee

A traditional coaching service hands you the month's plan and replies on WhatsApp when it can. PaceOn does what a good coaching service would do every day: looks at the run you did, compares it with the plan and decides the next step — starting at R$ 0.

What running coaching delivers, and what PaceOn does the same

Running coaching is, in essence, three things: a training plan built for you, someone following what you run, and adjustments when life gets in the way. PaceOn covers all three. The plan is born from your history imported from Strava, your goal and the days you have. Every run that comes in from your watch is compared with the plan. And the following week is recalculated when a workout came out different from expected, when you missed a day or when effort piled up.

The difference is price and frequency. Online running coaching charges a monthly fee and, in most cases, looks at your plan once a week. Here the analysis happens after every run, and the Free plan already includes the essentials.

How the coaching works in practice

You connect Strava, or import GPX, FIT and TCX files from your watch, and answer a short questionnaire: goal, level, available days, best recent time. From that, the AI proposes a periodization and a rules engine validates each workout: limited volume progression, never two hard workouts in a row, periodic down weeks, taper before the race. What passes becomes your training plan.

Then it's just running. The workout arrives on its own, matches what was planned and gets a reading on the spot: distance, pace by segment, effort, comparison with recent runs. If you want, the AI Coach writes an analysis of what went well, what deserves attention and what to do over the next days.

Who online coaching with AI works well for

Anyone who wants structure and consistency without paying a coaching fee: people starting to run, people who want to finish their first 5K or 10K, people preparing a half or full marathon with a date booked who need real periodization. It also works for people who already have a coach and want a plan that reacts between one conversation and the next.

When to see an in-person coach

If you have an ongoing injury, a health condition that requires monitoring or high-performance goals with running form to correct, an in-person professional is irreplaceable. PaceOn doesn't diagnose or prescribe anything health-related: it's a training tool, and it says so whenever a question falls outside that scope.

Frequently asked questions

Is online running coaching better than in-person?

They're different things. In-person corrects form and follows injuries closely. Online with AI follows every run, adjusts the week on the spot and costs a fraction. Many people use both.

How much does PaceOn coaching cost?

The Free plan is free and already includes the training plan and the Strava integration. Pro costs R$ 39.90 a month and Performance R$ 69.90 a month, with deeper AI analysis.

Do I need a running watch?

No. You can log the run by hand in the app. With a watch or with Strava on your phone, runs come in on their own and the analysis gets richer.

Can the AI build a dangerous plan?

Not on its own. Every suggestion goes through safety rules before it becomes a workout: limited volume progression, long run within the ceiling, mandatory down weeks. Whatever breaks a rule is adjusted or discarded.

You run. The system learns. Your plan evolves.
